One Year Later: Happy Cleaning Co Camden

One year ago, I started Happy Cleaning Co with a mop, a vision, and a hope that I could build something meaningful for my family.
What I didn’t realise was just how much this little business would teach me along the way. Over the past year, Happy Cleaning Co has grown into a trusted residential cleaning business supporting busy homes and families across Camden and the Macarthur region
I thought cleaning was mostly about the obvious things, clean kitchens, freshly mopped floors, neatly made beds, and shiny taps. But over the last year, I’ve learnt that what most people are really searching for is the feeling that comes afterwards. The calm. The relief. The sense of walking into a home that feels lighter, quieter, and cared for.
This business has taught me just how much trust exists in this industry. Each time someone hands over their keys, welcomes me through their front door, or asks me to take care of their home, I never take that lightly.
Behind every home is a person, a family, a busy season, a hard season, a new baby, a long week at work, school events, extra-curricular activities, or simply someone trying to keep up with life.
As a mum, building this business has been both rewarding and incredibly humbling. There have been early mornings, late nights, school events squeezed between cleans, admin done at the dining table or at soccer training while on the run, and moments where I’ve questioned whether I could really do it all.
But this year has shown me that growth doesn’t always happen loudly. Sometimes it happens quietly through repeat clients, kind messages, word-of-mouth recommendations, and slowly building something solid over time.
I’ve learnt that success, for me, isn’t about becoming the biggest or the loudest cleaning company. It’s about building a business that feels genuine. A business people can trust. A business that helps homes feel clean, calm, and cared for.
From regular house cleaning to helping busy families keep their homes feeling manageable, this business has become about so much more than cleaning itself. It’s about creating homes that feel calm, functional, and cared for during every season of life.
To every client who has supported Happy Cleaning Co. this past year, thank you.
Thank you for trusting me in your homes, recommending my business, cheering me on, and allowing this small, local business to grow one clean at a time.
One year later, I’m still learning. Still growing. Still grateful for each and every home we clean.
And I truly can’t wait to see where the next year will take us.
